JC FAQ’S
- The week for the study group will run from Thursday to Wednesday.
- Members of the JC study group are encouraged to post monthly goals at the beginning of the month.
- Members are encouraged to their artist’s date and to check in with their progress.
- Morning pages and walks will be at the discretion of the members. If you have time to do morning pages, that’s fine, but don’t get hung up on them or let them discourage you from writing.
- A weekly schedule covering the period of April-June will be posted to the web page and the study room. This is intended as a guideline only and if members miss a week, it is not compulsory to catch up.
- If you do not feel comfortable sharing a task, just post a note to the effect that you will not be posting that week.
- We would like to offer opportunities for members to share their writing. We are going to try offering writing challenges, either a word challenge or a writing prompt every second week. You may post a piece of writing in any form of your choice. Suggested lengths are one page for a poem and 400 words for prose.
- Members may volunteer to contribute a writing challenge.
- Members may post a work in progress to obtain feedback.
- If you post a manuscript, you should be prepared to offer feedback in return.
- Chats may be arranged at the Co-ordinators’ discretion.
