HAIKU

I
soft wind lullabies
orange prairie skies whisper
good night to crickets

II
jagged whipped cream clouds
floating lazily
in the azure sun-kissed skies

III
dawn mist noiselessly
creeps across lake and forest
embracing birches

IV
snow-packed labyrinth
winds to horizon
meeting infinity

KIWI HAIKU
like prickly green cactus thorns
kiwi fuzz invades
drawing blood from my finger

ASH
square box, plastic, grey
cremated ashes
remnants of a human life
